It’s that time of year!!
It that time when Mom and Dad and I help put the farm to bed.
That means we load up all the two million billion trillion syphon tubes and take them back to the barn to store them for the winter.
And the dams…we can’t forget the dams, they go back to the barn also.
This year Dad decided to bring the pick-up and we would load one load at a time until we get everything done. Usually it’s Mom and I with the trailer and the four-wheeler. Having Dad and the pick-up goes ever so much faster!!!
THAT IS FOR SURE!
Mom lets me out to run around while they slowly pick up the tubes, then when they look like they are about ready to go to the barn I head over to them and GET a ride home!
Riding home is MUCH better than trotting along behind or getting LEFT behind. (Yes that has happened, but I’m trying really hard to not let it happen again!)
Guess what I saw last night?
I had gone out to check out the yard before I settled in for the night and
There it was….
I didn’t bark, howl or anything…I just slowly, ever so slowly backed up and beat it back to the house.
Sleeping outside in this cold is not an option….or having to have a bath with a NOT VERY HAPPY MOM scrubbing on me late at night is NOT another option!
Anyway…gota run, it’s back to the pick-up and out to the field time.
See ya soon,
Boomer
You’re a smart pup, Boomer 😀

Gosh, Boomer, it sounds like you know the consequences of tangling with a skunk. Are you speaking from experience?

We have to pick them up or the cows will delightedly stomp on them breaking them. 😦

Boomer, I’m glad you are such a big help to Mom and Dad in getting the farm to bed. I think you made a very wise decision to back away from that late-night critter you spied.

Smart dog, Boomer. The ride is a much better alternative than the trot. You never get that stink out of your nose.
