Megan found another wonderful gift from nature…
Here is what she said: “It must be my week to see wonderful things! I found a humming bird nest this morning at the farm. One baby just hatched and the rest of the eggs were so so tiny! Thought you would like to see.”
No problem! It was such a cool thing to see. Lifted all the kids up to see it including James who isn’t so little anymore lol

Life on a Colorado Farm 
Birds’ nests are always so beautifully made aren’t they. I have only once seen a humming bird on one of our trips to the US – they are quite tiny birds aren’t they, so I am sure this nest is equally small. Thank you for showing it to us.

The nest was only about 3 inches tall! I almost missed it. It was inside some blackberry vines.

yes is why i keepin’ da feeders out an clean an happy..
lotsa iddy bitty ones coming out to play now…that time of the year..
so they can learn how to fly south before the freeze!.. 🙂
