“You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream”–Unknown
Last night my exhausted body could NOT find rest, because of my determined mind wanting to stay up all night carousing around and around and around.
The house was silent, save for the pops and snaps of the wood burning in the woodstove. And my restless thoughts. I’m sure they were visible they were so loud in my brain!
Today I’m tired and can’t get my ‘self’ to move.
Sigh!
Oh well, hopefully I can sleep tonight and be a much more energetic blogger tomorrow.
Love,
Linda
I hope you can rest and be back to your usual self. The holidays can be exhausting, can’t they?

Sometimes the body can’t keep up with what the mind wants to do but it all evens out.

I am hoping so. Two short little naps today. I don’t want to be tooooooo rested for tonight!

I wonder if it might be our age because I do the same thing at least once a week depending on what I’ve done during the day or news I’ve received that day. It’s maddening have to lay there and not disturb your spouse or the dog and you certainly can’t get up and do anything because of the noise you may make! The next night though, like you, I sleep like a baby! Sweet dreams tonight my friend!

I did my nightly walk and all it did was increase the wheel of my mind. Ugh!

Sounds like a perfect day for a embroidery project & tea in front of the fire…

I think it’s an age thing also. I’m going to try MOVEMENT and lots of fresh air and hope it helps!

I hate those nights when the mind is like a hamster on a wheel, going round and round and round. That gets me up earlier than I want to many mornings. Hope you get some good sleep tonight!

There must have been something in the air… I had the same problem. About 2 hours’ sleep the whole night. And I have things to get done today! And I don’t nap easily…

I remember Mom and Dad saying they couldn’t STAY asleep so they would get up at 4:30 every day. Then they wanted to be in bed by 8. Well I’m up at 5 everyday now and go to sleep at 9:30….

I was awake at 3:30 and up at 4:30. Sitting here with coffee in the dark. I wish it was unusual but sleep eludes me more and more. I would love to wake up one morning feeling ‘rested”. It will be a hard work day and I feel your pain. Hopefully you and maybe I will sleep deep tonight.

It seems the older we get the harder it is to sleep. Sigh!

Driving in it was a mess, but we made it to the big city and back without any problems. Saw several wrecks, people think they can drive on ice and snow and in blizzards like they do on a sunny summer day. Sigh!
