Yesterday Terry decided it was time to cut the hay

Rich, thick, full of blooms Second Cutting of hay

Today our whole house smells of delicious ‘just mown’ alfalfa…drying in the sun and wind

We’re half way through our first cutting after lots of rain delays but we’ll still have time for some second meadow cutting that will be square bales for the bulls and emergency weather conditions. Have a great 4th!!!

  It’s heaven on earth! That and rain after a long dry spell, or when the irrigation water hits the furrow for the first time in the growing season. All so wonderful and hard to describe!
