The Sandhill Cranes and the Canada Geese are stuffing the fields to capacity!
Beautiful large birds rustling along searching for bits of corn
The Sandhill cranes (usually) don’t seem to share the same field as the geese,
But sometimes they do.
Their beauty is wonderfully stunning!
Your friend on a western Colorado Farm,
Linda
Stunning for sure!

I’ll bet there are a thousand or better in that one field.

Soon, they will be coming our way. I always listen for the first flocks of the sandhills as they drop off the yearly residents in our meadows. Once more, a new beginning.

I saw two Western Meadow Larks this morning, so I am pretty sure spring is now here. Watch your sky, these lovely birds will be winging their way to you soon!

Way too early. Nothing for the meadow larks to eat here. Redwing blackbirds are the first to arrive and have not seen any yet.

I’m glad so many birds can find a meal in your fields. I’ll bet they’re happy about it too!
