Not wanting to ‘do’ anything really. Terry and I headed up to the Ouray Hot spring Pool, in Ouray, Colorado.
When got there at 1:30 in the afternoon, but 2:30 it was snowing…by 3:30 we decided we had better take our snow covered heads and go get dry and head home.
I forgot to take a photo of the life guards in complete snow suit and ski googles, or the snow coming down so hard you couldn’t even see the pool…but I did get
the snow as we drove back home.
We drove through snow, until Montrose, then rain around Olathe, by the time we got home. Nothing.
Just clouds and the setting sun.
It was stunning!

‘HOT SPRINGS” seems to have been misnamed.

It looks as if you experienced a year’s worth of weather in a single afternoon. Amazing!

The Sandhills have arrived and we are under a foot of snow and below freezing today. Poor birds.

There’s something really bizarre about the idea of a hot springs where the lifeguards have to wear snowsuits! It sounds like something the Japanese would have invented.

Crazy weather! So people were actually using the hot springs pool as the snow came down? Did you? Stunning sky and I bet you were glad to be home and snuggled in.

Yes…we sat in there for two hours, but the snow packed onto our heads and gave us a head ache so we had to get out.

Love the hot springs in Ouray! I’ve been a few times. Also, love the Ute Indian Museum in Montrose. And the place in the strip mall with the terrific fish tacos.☺

Winters last breath. A reminder to be grateful for the coming spring. I saw the moon this morning right where it’s supposed to be at 5:15 and followed it until it hid behind the trees. I have not seen the moon there all winter long. Spring will come soon. Interesting you mention hot springs. That’s what my daughter wants to do for her birthday this year mid April. You have reminded me to check into it. Thanks. Glad you made it back safe.
