Terry didn’t cut the alfalfa yesterday, because of a predicted 30% chance of rain.
Which, by the afternoon turned into 100% guarantee of that delightful special moisture from the heavens
As the sun started to sink and the clouds started to break up
The sun, low and dazzling shot blazing rays of glorious light
Filling the heavens with a double collection of sparkling, arched light,
in the low-lying mist left from the dissipating clouds.
A gift from the heavens…oh, how blessed we were. Rain, no alfalfa down, and a double rainbow.
Perfect!
From my heart to your world,
Linda
It sounds like a perfect ending for the day.

I’m glad you had some rain! Jim is finishing up mowing our first cutting right now! We’ve been fighting rain for the past week .(which I’m guessing you would be GLAD for…we’ve had too much lately!!) This will be baled wet, and wrapped, probably tomorrow or Friday.

Well….only after we get the hay baled and stacked and possibly sold. Then bring on the rain! 🙂

Does your hay sometimes come east? I know some of our Amish neighbors buy loads of western hay.

Ours doesn’t. We have customers that come to the farm and buy 4-50 bales at a time. One lady get 450, they all live close here and feed their own animals. I do know of neighbors that sell to big suppliers, but not us. 🙂

Seems to me every year it’s dry dry until we decide to cut the alfalfa…then it rains on it!

Terry has good instincts. What a perfect sky and I loved the header shot. Great to see a double rainbow.

Even we got a slight bit of rain. it was yesterday, and unless we get a short rain shower in the middle summer like we sometimes do, it will probably be the last until autumn

I have noticed that as well.

This is somewhat normal for us, but we can not figure out why the River is so low so early. Someone else told me that it is fine farther down, so perhaps it is just draining oddly this year.
