Once more I have been gifted with the beauty of a lovely rainbow.
In my mail first thing in the morning I had this wondrous gift from a long-time reader, Joe.
“Something for you.” he wrote.
And there it was in the cold air fragrant with rain. The dance of colors flickering through the sky, glowing like jewels sparkling just there for all of the world to see
the gift of a rainbow!
Thank you, Joe!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
The rainbow is beautiful, but so is the sky above your farm in the first photo.

Today we have a wee break because of the rain, or at least the possibly of rain. The mountains are still smokey, though. 😦

Do you think you might have some of those rainbow pics enlarged, printed and frame them yourself? They’ve been gorgeous and you would have rainbows everyday!!

I have thought about it. Or have them made into a coffee table book. I love the idea of rainbows every day!

We’ve had three rains this summer with sunshine…and not a rainbow to be seen. I always watch for them for you.

Oh, Thank you. There is nothing sweeter than seeing a rainbow in the air or in my email.

Rainbows do not happen much here because they need rain (of course). When they did happen, when we were kids, we could tell that they moved a little bit. When we were with our parents in a car driving toward one, it always seemed to back up and stay just out of reach. Of course, when a rainbow appeared seemingly close in the orchard, we went after it; but of course, we found that it too backed up to stay just our of our reach. We really wanted the pot of gold!

Wouldn’t it be something to really find the pot of gold! 🙂

Yes, it would have been, but it never happened. That means it is still out there somewhere . . . probably in Colorado!
