Finally, after staying steady and ‘keeping after it’
I got the leaves off the yard!
Although I thought the leaf covered lawn was rather pretty, the lack of leaves is much more appealing.
SMILING BIG HERE!! 🙂
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
Since you have had so much practice cleaning up leaves, we have plenty on our yard if you want to keep in practice.

It does look nice…but now turning brown…cold here today with nasty bitter winds.

deeeependz: I look out the window, see one tree in the field below w/NO leaves in/on it — another perhaps 70′ away still looks like ALL the leaves yet to fall. I dunno if i’m half done or what… see that delta sometimes is state’s high temp !

this leaf-raking is not immediate high-priority 4 me — one year I finished in February (!)

I hate matted down leaves to get off the lawn, the rest of the roads I do at my leisure!

Looks good and I know how it feels to have it looking good for spring:)

Raking matted leaves is a true chore.

Goodness! One of my most esteemed colleagues who I did my internship with in 1988 was from Altoona in Pennsylvania. He missed the autumn foliage there enough to take a few barrels of sweetgum and maple leaves home to spread out on the front lawn of the apartment building he lived in at the time. There were only (evergreen) Southern magnolias out there. The gardeners were baffled.
