I kept checking the moon, every hour on the hour, then every thirty minutes
Gradually the clear light of the moon paled and became shadowed
I stayed watching
And missed the whole thing…I fell asleep sitting in one spot looking out the window, exhausted
How disappointing.ย I woke only to see the moon sail clear and shining and beautiful in the dark sky!
SIGH!!!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
That is totally understandable! I took pictures u til the totality and the. Went inside, cold and over it!

You must have been really tired! Your moon photos are amazing ~ I sat all bundled up on the back deck, mesmerized by the moon and stars ๐

I so feel for you. Trying so hard and not making it through the eclipse. I couldn’t even see the moon though I tried. It was so cloudy we couldn’t even get the light of it. More rain on the way the next two days. ;( Thanks for the photos you did get though.

That’s it?!?! Gee! I saw it quite clearly even though I did not expect to. It was supposed to be cloudy, but the clouds cleared for the event. It was probably an hour later in your time zone.

Actually, at the time, I felt sort of guilty that I was seeing it while so many who would have appreciated it more could not see it.
