The Adventures of Boomer on Friday— Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah

James Baskett
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My, oh, my, what a wonderful day

Plenty of sunshine headin’ my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!
Mister Bluebird’s on my shoulder
It’s the truth, it’s “actch’ll”
Everything is “satisfactch’ll”
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
Wonderful feeling, wonderful day!

Yes, sir
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My, oh, my, what a wonderful day
Plenty of sunshine headin’ my way

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!
Mister Bluebird’s on my shoulder

It’s the truth, it’s “actch’ll”
Everything is “satisfactch’ll”
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah,
Boomer and Mindy has so much fun!
Even, though, Mindy is a middle-aged cat and Boomer is now elderly
they always, always seem to more than enjoy our daily walks,
and sometimes just playing with each other.
And no matter what, Boomie always, always runs to greet me when I come home.
(Oh the love of wonderful animals)
Zippy Do Dah…Zippy Day!

  1. I remember Uncle Remus and Song of the South. I actually watched it at the movie theatre when I was a kid. Love to watch our animals play and feeling their oats. Now Zippity is an earworm I will be humming all day.

  2. Such a total joy to see animals play like this,as they teach us how to be in the NOW… perfect for us to see in this fast paced world that is spinning off into outer space… love these two and love Uncle Remus song too played it until I wore it out… thanks for sharing the glory of your life

    • To live in the now is so hard…worries, concerns, awful things seem to want to crowd to the front of our lives, but you are right. If we just remember to be in ‘now’ everything else always works itself out for the best.
