The Adventures of Boomer on Friday— The Things I Do, by Mindy the Cat—Friday, September 13, 2019

Hello!  It’s Me, Mindy-Lou, Min-Min, Kit-Cat Brown.  Boomer is taking a rest today so; I get to talk!

My days are Full! Full! FULL!

Often times throughout the day I go out to the haystack yard and check to see if there are any mice out there I can catch and eat!

(Eating is the best part of catching, don’t ya, know!)

Then I prowl around in Mom’s gardens…

sometimes I chase birds, that ALWAYS get me scolded.

I like to work with Dad in his shops—so, of course,

I have to walk out to the shops to see if Dad is out there.

Lately, it has been getting COLD at night.  Usually, Mom invites me in, but during the warm times I like to stay out all night, then come inside and sleep most of the morning.

If I can’t get Mom to let me in the dark of the night,

(when I am good and ready—not when Mom asks me to come in), I have to walk around to the room we sleep in and YOWL REALLY LOUD!

I do that until Mom comes outside and hollers for me.  Then I run as fast as my kitty legs can take me into the house.

Last night Mom and I went for a long walk to see the moon.  Boomer didn’t want to go, he just looked at Mom, closed his eyes and slept in the house while we were gone.

Mom and I had a MARVELOUS time!

It was just perfect MOM and I!

  1. Beautiful Mindy, stay close at night. There are real dangers, especially the bold coyotes. Walks with Mom are the best, in fact all walks with human family are great! Tonight is Harvest Moon. Love, Lobo (Emily’s fur baby)

    • Mom says she doesn’t like me to be outside at night. But I lived 5 very long years outside and my Mom was always outside so staying in the house sometimes makes me feel trapped. Mindy

  2. Mindy, you are SO lucky you get to go out at night. My mommy won’t let me out at night & she is a careful watcher when she lets me out for a while during the day. I was born in a house & I prefer the house surroundings but, I’d like to chase a REAL mouse once in a while. I am a Tomcat.

Please be careful. Coyotes are bad news. So are Owls. We have them here and my mommy worries.

Meow-meow, my friend. You are very pretty.
