The game camera captured a unique experience for you and I. First here is a moth
Then a rather messy spider web
Suddenly the spider started tearing apart the web
She seemed rather disgusted with her work.
Then up she went
The next photo shows it RESTORED!! Beautiful!
Here is the spider in the daytime
Just so you know. I took down the camera. The little panicky feeling I get when I see the web, not to mention the spider itself is not a thrill I want to experience every time I go out to get the camera.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
I can understand why you took down the camera, but you did get some fascinating photos from it.

A German proverb states that spider in the house brings good luck. As a spinner of wool, it took me awhile to get used to the thought that a spider is our symbol. They spin the most beautiful webs and their webs get more perfect as they get older. I know, they are creepy, but fascinating. Living flycatchers.

Oh! I didn’t know that they webs get more beautiful as they get older. That is very interesting.

That was a beautiful spider web. I find their work fascinating…. as long as those webs are outside and not in a corner of my house! I wouldn’t mind watching them on a camera.

It was fun. But I had to go through the web to get to the camera…..shudder.

I started a comment then got pulled away to something else. I’m not getting on my computer enough until the rain comes. I can see you would hate having the spider looking at you all the time. I usually take a broom or something else long and move them to a more useful area. Who knows what kind of bugs they are getting at night. We have some vile looking spiders here and I’ve been bitten by one working in the garden but we need them. I’d keep moving them off the camera and keep the camera up. Don’t like spiders but no longer afraid of them. Now a flying palmetto bug, I can get shrill over. (Big roaches in tropical areas.) Shudder, shudder. 🙂

Hey Linda … I think I would have taken down the camera too! Mind you that spider did a grand job of repairs

She did, but I really don’t like to see her at work. Or to walk into her house.
