Embroidered There Upon the Sky —- Thursday, November 7, 2019

(From Pinterest)

Every frosty evening  the geese come to our farm

Their voices serenade in lovely song on the damp chill air

Magnificent and wonderous; their wings rippling the air, making a huge swooshing sound as they fly overhead

Settling down in the harvested Pinto Beans fields, where their night-time rustling brings contentment to our farm.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

  1. Love the geeses! My maternal GM’s farm was on US70 and, across that, was another farm with a large pond. The geese would always land on my GM’s farm, first and 100s of them would wander all over the place, honking. Then, they would cross the highway, backing up traffic, to get to the pond. They were hysterical. They are so dignified when they walk. And, I love to watch them fly over.

  2. What an interesting and beautiful month you’ve had so far! (I just caught up with November!). The early snow , the sparkly ice … I liked the poem celebrating the transitionof this month. Thanks for helping me see the beauty of this month .I need the reminder… I have always had trouble adjusting to How it gets dark so darn early!
