Hysteria and Fear Replaced with Peace and Beauty—- Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, an 1887 painting by Viktor Vasnetsov. From left to right are Death, Famine, War, and Conquest; the Lamb is at the top.

The fear of the Coronavirus…the media seems to be saying that we are experiencing the appearance of the dreadful horseman of pestilence and death.

Possibly. It sure seems so each and every day.

Possibly.  I really don’t know.

And like each and every one of you, I won’t know until we move through this time and come out on the other side.

But I can tell you, I still enjoy walking on the farm with Beaglie, sometimes Terry and Mindy.  But always with Boomer

I love the long shadows the clean and silver moon-light throws behind the bushes, the trees, and the equipment

The movement of the clouds tangling with the moonlight, covering the moon

Silvering light which lights up the world

Making the world seem as if we are sailing closer to the moon each and every night

Growing larger, then grower smaller.

Each day a marvelous gift to you and me.

I pray that your God is with you, I thank my God for all my blessings!

Amen.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

  2. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and most of all your beautiful photos. I’m hoping the rain will stop for a while this afternoon so I can get out and do some work in the yard.

  3. A beautiful message with beautiful photos ~
I especially appreciate your words and photos now that I can’t get out and about. I know – soon… But with the constant bombardment of negativity – not knowing who to trust, it becomes too much. Thank goodness I can go back through many of your posts. Thank you Linda ♡

  5. No panic in this household. I refuse to pander to the unreasoning fear the media is spewing. We always take the kind of precautions recommended, it’s a good habit to have in the first place and makes it much easier with the evident spreading illness. I find the panic buying and hoarding sad. Don’t these people know that their fear affects their immune system?
    Stay well!

  6. What a lovely post in the midst of all this doom, gloom, and anxiety. This isn’t 1918, WWII, the polio epidemics, etc. Get a grip. We are locked down here in parts of CA. I heard one official give all the rules; then he was asked what else we could do, and he said to turn off our TVs. Good advice. Thanks for sharing all your calming and inspiring posts.

  7. the moon photos are something! Very nice. The media is causing the panic. But this is certaintly goiing to cause a recession. That is what people need to prepare for. Victory gardens.

  8. I’m taking it in stride too. Doing as I should always do with a compromised health system and being a bit careful about my environment but this is off the charts crazy. I keep plenty of what I need anyway and was expecting company that can’t travel now so I won’t run out for quite some time. I walk outside in the daytime just to get some air but your walks would be more lovely. I loved the moon we had. I’m glad you have so many fuzzy friends to walk with. Keep taking care of yourselves. Hopefully it will be behind us soon enough. There is a deep lesson here and not many get it yet.
