The morning air is cool almost cold now.
Although, we have been warming up into the 100’s (again) in the afternoons.
I’ve been out-and-about taking photos of the wildlife (if I can find them)
Leaving the little Beeglie at home resting.
The smoke is back —thick (see above) and miserable
So without further ado
I will give you my wee collection
Of the critters
Who, like us, are harvesting and
Prepping
For winter
And yes
I do take out treats to feed some of them
But, of course
I don’t feed all of them
The little hummers are leaving us now.
I’m down from 12 feeders to two.
Well, there you have it.
A small collection of fun creatures who share the farm with us.
Yep!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
What a wonderful collection of animals! Love especially the funny picture of the squirrel (chipmunk?) with it´s tail raised. I´m sure they appreciate their little treats.

Our news says there will be snow in Colorado today. Would that take the smoke away?

I sure hope so. And maybe stop the fires.

I am soooo sorry to hear about Boomer! I do hope all will be well I am afraid I am about to start spouting the pious platitudes that we all reach for when under this kind of stress. We have been struggling with the smoke from fires S. of San Francisco, (under evacuation warning once), and our kitty had pneumonia. Dishwasher died. Etc. Etc. Etc. BLM and Antifa targeted our little town 4 times but they didn’t amount to much–just kept us anxiety ridden. (You may want to remove that). Through it all I looked forward to your blogs. They were very strengthening and comforting. Now you are in pain.. Beside prayers and hugs, what can I do. I think I still have your private email from our talk about the Betsy-Tacy Society. I think you have my email. You may still have my phone number. Either way, I would like to contact you.
All my prayers

I am so sorry your town is being targeted. What a hard anxiety ridden time that has to be. My email is coloradofarmlife@gmail.com I hope your kitty can pull through. I think all the smoke is hard on our fur kids. 😦

PS Maybe a 1/2 dose or 1/4 of prednisone would help. It really helped one of my cats.

I gave him so prednisone and he acted like he was on speed. It was hideous for him and for me. But thank you for the suggestion.
