Sometimes My Heart Stops—-Sunday, October 18, 2020

When I’m out and about

Of course, I travel now without my darling little beagle

(Taken by a game camera in the yard)

And I always stop and stand very still, using my zoom lens

And he/she always dashes off when the click of the camera is heard.

But still—it takes a spell for my heart to slow down and I can move on.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

  1. I think my heart would be racing if I came across one of these as well. I’ve come across a bear a couple of times while hiking in the mountains and that always gets the adrenaline going.

  2. We had coyotes where we lived in Oregon. Ranchers shot them on sight as they kill lambs, calves, and family dogs and cats. They multiply rapidly and when the county could no longer afford to hire the trapper, we were pretty much overrun with these critters. I am so sorry that Boomer is not doing well today. My heart goes out to you both.

  3. We hear them howling at night. One of the reasons we used to go out with Chance at night in his older years he would have been no match for a pack of coyotes. Be careful you might want to walk with a stick…Gene uses his hiking pole it has a sharp tip on the end.
Poor Boomer…poor you… we all love him so. 😦
