Boomer, my Darling little Beagle

Passed over the Rainbow Bridge.

As Terry and I were digging his resting spot, I dug up a rock.  When I looked in my shovel I saw it was a heart.

Laugh if you must, but I feel it is a gift from the earth and from Boomer to me.

Run free my baby Boomer.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

  2. Ah Linda, it was his time, but all too soon for you. I’m so sorry you’ve lost your beloved companion and faithful friend and shadow. That heart rock was definitely his message to you: “All is well, I’ve gone ahead to check things out and wait for you”.

  3. I’m so sorry. I feel like I’m losing my own friend. I’m sure Fuzzy was waiting on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge for his old pal Boomer for some new adventures.

  6. RIP, little buddy. You loved well and were well-loved by many. We have enjoyed getting to know our first ever farm dog – and you were an excellent one to learn from. Prayers for your family to heal quickly and completely. You will know when it’s time to send them a new farm dog to love. xoxo

  7. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I’m not laughing about the heart rock. I would have it cleaned, mounted and framed in a “shadow box” with the best photo of Boomer.

  13. I’m so sorry, Linda. I know all too well how hard it is when a good dogger has to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I think Smoky will be along to say hi to Boomer, he’ll probably bring my other boys to say hi too. It seems this is a week for losses of those we love. I’m so glad Boomer sent you a heart rock, it’s a true precious treasure. Love to you and Terry.

  14. Dearest Linda and Terry

I cried this morning when I read of Boomer’s passing. I had so looked forward to meeting him (and getting to see his Mamma for the first time in a LONG time), but it was not to be. I’m so sorry.

God bless you with His peace dear ones. So glad he sent you that rock! He does things like that.

    All my love, Letha

  16. I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers. But Boomer is just fine since he is on the other side, free from pain and troubles, waiting for you.

He didn’t take your heart with him because it still has work to do here.

  19. I’m very saddened to hear about Boomer. I know you will miss him, as will all of us. But even though you miss him you have wonderful memories of all his adventures. He is now out of pain and probably getting reacquainted with Fuzzy. Both of them are now watching over you.

  20. Bless your hearts–All your hearts. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.. My, how he will be missed. I’m sure your heart is sore and your body aches. Courage, I think we will all meet again. and we can love all our pets even more.

Some people might be interested in the Black Mountain rescue lady. Donations could be made in grateful memory of Boomer to help other pets. It makes us feel like we are doing something.
