We ride out daily now…
Checking the cows
Keeping count,
Making sure the cows are comfortable with us
Checking fences (and gates)
Overhead the Canada Geese keep us company
We have a NEW little one—very early. But, for some reason or other, there always seems to be one cow who springs a surprise.
Last night I saw a Sundog…colder weather on its way.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Do you only see the sundogs in the fall and winter? Reminds me of a summer rainbow trying to peek through!

We see them year round…they seem to announce a cooler weather change no matter the season

I hope the coming cold weather is not too severe, although I guess having some snow would be welcome.

Those skies you are capturing are amazing! And a sun dog ~
The cows are back early it seems. But they are good to have on the land. And that little guy!

They are early by a month. Terry got done with the corn early so they came early. Of course early come early go…They will have to leave before February as the food will be all gone.

So a sweet little calf has appeared. Will it be ok with the colder weather that’s coming?

Oh, yes. They are very hardy. Most calves are born in February…which is much worse.
