The Blessing of Being and Old Woman — Tuesday, July 19, 2022

You finally grow to a point

Where you stop worrying about what other people think of you

And you can still remember what

It is like to be young,

And, finally, by this time

You realize there is beauty in storms

That sunshine is a gift, along with everything else in each and every moment of your day

If you are patient everything passes

But for a short length of time,

There is always a gift in a storm or otherwise.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

  1. You’re only as old as you think you are. Remember Grandma Love used to say, “Those people at the senior luncheons think so old. All they talk about is their illnesses and pains. I’m not going there anymore.”

  2. Agree that in most of the cases these realizations happens at an older age. But the question I always had in mind is ‘Is it a good thing to have these realizations during ones younger age?’ 🙂

  3. The photos of the sky are AWESOME and so are the lilies. I stopped worrying about what people think a long time ago. I always say what you see is what you get. Just be happy being who you are at any age and be true to yourself.

  4. Lulu: “Hmm, I’m not sure I’m ever going to like storms. Maybe if they’re quiet they’d be all right …”
Charlee: “You need to learn to relax and just let the sound wash over you.”
    Lulu: “NO BATHS!!!”
