After the Rain — Brisk Winds, and a Tad Cold, Sunday, August 22, 2021

All us Summer folks, the Summer Songbirds, the bees, the flowers, and me

Not to mention the trees

Are feeling like we made the turn

The turn into Fall, or Autumn, or the dying of Summer, after all our rain.

The leaves are starting to turn

The air is a tad cooler in the early morning

It got down to 42*f (5.5c) the day of our largest rain

50*f (10c) Saturday morning

The sky is sometimes blue, then filling with smoke again, followed by random showers of rain.

Although I like (Spring) and Autumn— I love Summer!

Terry says this cooler weather

Is just PERFECT!Ā  šŸ™‚

  1. Lulu: “Our Dada says that back East, autumn was his favorite season, especially October. Out here in California, not so much.”
    Charlee: “Why not so much?”
Lulu: “Because out here autumn is fire season, and October has had some of the worst ones.”
Chaplin: “But California has been on fire for weeks already.”
Lulu: “Yeah, well, I guess fire season has been expanding lately.”

  2. I love all your colorful flowers! Yes we have a couple of trees starting to turn color too. I love all the seasons, but winter is a long one up here. We are thinking of heading somewhere south for the winter this year, as it gets so icy and with so much snow here, that it’s easy to fall and get hurt. And we’re not getting any younger! I notice that I’m getting more unsteady when I walk, so sure wouldn’t want to fall on ice. Hubby bought an RV so we’ll see how that goes! Yikes!
