I followed the link to your blog from Erin Slivka’s. I live on a farm in the San Luis Valley and was surprised to see your pictures of our area! The wheat is usually combined the usual way when it’s ripe, but there was a bad hail storm two weeks ago…the wheat that is being cut for hay was too badly damaged to be salvaged for grain. The Sun Edison solar farm is really interesting, isn’t it? I enjoy reading about agriculture in your part of the state.
