  1. I was hoping you were kidding:))) Are those your cows, they have ice on them. I know cows have been standing in freezing weather for hundreds of years but I feel bad for the animals that live outside:( Do you have to chain up to drive to work. Your snow looks pretty, we are due for more. What elevation do you live. Im only at 460 ft:(((

  2. Brrrr I am tired of this and I don’t even have to work outside. While in N.Y. I wore long underwear. It made the cold so much more bearable. I suppose you put on the layers. (o:

  3. Oh my gosh,if I had to drive on that ice, they would have to cut the steering wheel out of the car because
my hands would be glued to it ! Thank goodness we don’t have much of that stuff here.

  4. Looks like winter is there to stay for awhile! I ventured out to do some shopping today, I had to be in 4×4 to get out of one of the side streets. We have some areas of compacted ridges that are no fun to drive on. Thanks for sharing the photos! 🙂

  5. I hope you dont have a very long drive every morning.
How do they maintain the roads in your part of the country ? Salt, Cinders or you on your own? A blanket of snow makes everything look so clean and crisp…

  6. Linda,
Love the snow but could live without the ice. 🙂 Would you email me your home address so I can send you a Christmas card? Thanks…Merry Christmas!

  7. I can assure you if we had snow and ice like that down here, there wouldn’t be a car on the road. Everything would be closed down, the store shelves would be empty of bread, milk, and bananas. Yep, that is what you get if a snow is predicted. lol..
It is pretty but my feet would freeze off my legs.

That reminds me. When I was little we had a big snow(about 3 inches)Mama put loaf bread sacks over our shoes so our feet wouldn’t get wet. She must have had a lot of sacks saved up, there was 7 of us kids.

  8. We have ice every where at the moment thanks to a warmer day of 36 degrees. It’s slippery and scary so I don’t envy you having to get out and drive in it. I hope it’s gone by now.
We’re taking care of a pony for the winter and when he arrived, he had frozen pieces of ice all over his coat. I’d never seen anything like it before so I can just imagine how the cows get so frozen too.
