I am sooo happy! The days are growing longer and longer so there is more daylight to do chores in. Here is a neat site
http://www.sunrisesunset.com/custom_srss_calendar.asp
to let you see the actual time of daylight where you live.
It comes in calendar format so you can print it out and hang it up to check daily. (That is what I do…it has the best spot on the refrigerator.)
For instance today is Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Twi: 7:00am
Sunrise: 7:29am
Sunset: 5:12pm
Twi: 5:41pm
Moonrise: 8:40pm
Moonset: 9:13am
YEAH!
I too am so happy about the days growing longer. It’s so nice to have the extra time to get those chores done. Great Picture by the way!

What a beautiful picture! We just spent a good ten minutes this weekend trying to explain what Butler bins were to someone out here. They have only ever seen regular silos apparently. 😉

Gorgeous sunset. Nothing like Colorado sunsets and sunrises. I miss the mountain sunsets.

I need to copy that because I always want to know about the full moon. We can’t see it from our house, but if I know about it, I can get to a place I can watch it come up (o:

Yesterday I noticed that it was still light out when it was time to feed the chickens their dinner at 6. Its only January so hopefully we’ll all get rid of this snow soon and spring will come early just as the winter came early!

Thanks for the link. I’m so tuned into the length of the day this time a year. We’re picking up two minutes each day and now the sun doesn’t set until 4:30. I’m very envious of your 5:12.
Spring, summer, they can’t be far off.
