Second Cutting of Hay

Hay-Second-Cutting

The weather turned off ever so hot, 104*, making it hard to bale the hay with the ‘perfect’ amount of dew, but it got done!

Done and stacked and some has even been sold.  What a relief.

After the days and days of heat, lack of air movement, a cold front has started through. Good!

  1. Great photos, the wheat in this area is being harvested now. If you could send a little of that cooler weather over this way if would be nice. The temp in the shade of my patio is 101 right now.

  2. Those little poles will hold up a stack that size? Amazing.

I kid. Looks like your right on target but than what do I know about that stuff.

Soaked and ate the black beans this weekend. Yummy. Thanks for sending them.

  3. we finally got our first cut done, the forecast was scorching for the next week and wouldn’t you know it the day after it poured! =) Our hay was so tall that there was a buck standing in it and we could only see the tips of his antlers! Crazy! It’s a beautiful crop, hopefully it dries well and we get it baled soon. We do round bales.
