Autumn Days and Daylight Savings Time

It won’t be long now until we lose Daylight Saving Time

I hate the switch over…the nights are longer that ever

Even though now I drive into work just as the sun is getting up

I will go home in the twilight

I miss the early morning mists rising ff the river, as when I come it will be an hour later.

Oh, well.  Not much I can do about it, but enjoy what time I have left of Daylight Savings Time and look forward to Spring.

  1. I wish we had daylight saving in Queensland like the states south of “The Tweed”.
It is a nuisance with phone calling as we and the “Southerners” forget the difference!
If the people who comment on your blog Linda, knew some of the reasons why Qld is still
in the stone age with this “daylight saving business” – I think they would die laughing!

  2. One of the reasons I like living in Arizona is because they do not do daylight savings time. I hate it and I wish fervantly that somebody would stop it. Not they’ve got it a month longer on both ends so it won’t be long before they just leave it like that. The sun goes down at a decent time here in the summer but up north (Idaho/Utah) the summer days are sunlight till 11:00 p.m. It’s ridiculous. The northern part of AZ would like to have it, but there’s no way I would ever vote for something that is going to give me one extra minute of sunshine here in the summer let along one hour. So it never gets voted upon here.

  3. I used to feel the same way, but with our nights usually being filled up with places we have to go, I am going to enjoy having more light in the mornings, when I am home to utilize it.

I have never been able to put down the fantasy of being able to direct my own weather. Now you’ve got me wondering what I would do if I could direct my own day length. LOL
