The End of March

The last storm left us and we have a lovely cool spring like day today.

The spitting snow and splattering rain is bringing on the green

Sure looks good for sore eyes.

At sunset the clouds were leaving so the dogs and I had a delightful walk

This morning I noticed that the cottonwood was getting warmed up enough (thanks to the wind) to start thinking about sending out leaves.

Pretty exciting..Spring is on it’s way!

  1. I loved that sunset picture! It is so spring like here also, even with the chilly mornings and the windy days! I am just so glad to see the ground without the snow!

  3. I am so ready for spring and continuous warmer weather. These warm days followed by cold days just make me mad. Even though we didn’t have a really bad winter this year (except for the 2 weeks of below zero temps), I’m over it this year. Over it, I say. We move to our new little farm in 2 weeks and I am anxious to get my hands in the dirt and get my garden planted and the chickens out of my house πŸ™‚

  4. Spring is so different here in California. We get “first grass” with the fall rains and everything is green throughout winter. Then when it warms up in March, we get “second grass,” and the grasses and weeds go crazy. I was in Texas last March, and things were brown there, as they are in your pictures. Our trees won’t come out for another couple of weeks, but the lilacs are ready to pop. If it’s any consolation, everything will be dry by the end of May.
