The Adventures of Fuzzy and Boomer on Friday —Halloween

Poor Hank/Puff—depending on who you are talking too. Mom calls him Hank, but his family all call him Puff UNLESS he gets in trouble, then they call him Hank. So I wonder is his name Puff Hank?

Hummm… That must be it Puff Hank!

Well, here’s why I feel sorry for Puff Hank…

Yep a radio control collar. Puff Hank adores chasing cars. He love pick-up, trucks, tractors you name it…if it moves on the main road, Hank wants to be there barking at the wheels.

This collar really works, Puff Hank had the collar on for about a week, his family, even the little kids, working with him to understand —- you go beyond this point you will get shocked…and the shock WILL hurt.

Then the day came when Puff Hank got to spend the morning out in the yard without anyone there.

ZOOOOOOOOM! A car flew up the hill and on down the road.

Puff took out after it….Bark, Whoooppeee, Bark

Suddenly the whole neighborhood heard YEOOWWWWWWWWWAL!

When Mom-mom looked out the window, Puff was slinking back into the yard from the road with his tail tucked under his butt.

BUSTED!

Of course, when Puff comes up to see us he doesn’t have to wear the collar. Sort of sad that shocking business, but like I told Puff Hank…get used to it, it will keep you alive.

So everything was going along really good up here. Mom and Dad has been really busy laying pipe and putting a roof on the west side of the house, buttoning down the hatch you might say getting ready for winter.

Then Shannon showed up with something called an ‘outfit’ for Halloween.

You got to be kidding, right?

FOR US! We are dogs….dogs don’t wear ‘outfits’!!!! NO WAY!

I don’t CARE if Houston is dressed up; you are not going to get me in some stupid ‘outfit’!

I’m a cow dog….I don’t do stupid stuff like that!

AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Humph!

If this doesn’t beat all?

Fuzzy

  1. Hahahaha! Sorry, Boomer, but you and Fuzzy in your Halloween outfits did make me laugh out loud. At least it is bones and not something silly like pink fluff princess dresses.

As for Puff Hank, learning to stay away from car wheels is very important. My very best doggy friend was run over by a school bus and another very best doggy friend almost lost his nose and had a crooked smile forever after from trying to bite spinning tires. Wish I’d had a shock collar to teach them better.

  2. Fuzzy, you should be glad that Halloween only comes around once a year. I will admit, though, that your costume made me smile.
I hope that one shock is all that Hank needs to learn his lesson.

  3. Sorry to hear you had to go to the electricity Hank, but it IS a very effective training tool and will likely save your life. My mom has a collar that she can warn me with a beep first. I learned that pretty quick! Respond to the beep and no volts will follow! 🙂

    A fellow Hank

  4. Poor Fuzzy! You could have gotten dressed up as a hot dog or a squirrel… I had wanted to dress my Freya up as a Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing last year. But alas! It was not to be! She had the wolf part down already. I just needed to attach some fleece to her, and she’d have been perfect! I was going to go as Bo Peep, and we were definitely going to go door to door with Dude, waiting down at the road, of course!
