We drove to Silverton, Colorado
Then after that, we stopped at the Hot Springs Pool in Ouray, Colorado
It really wasn’t a long, long day. We left at ten in the morning and returned at 5:30 in the afternoon.
Relaxed and rested.
Sure was nice.

Wish you had come on over to see us.
Love you,

I grew up in Durango. Every year my family would ride the train up to Silverton in the fall. My Dad would drive up to meet us. Would eat at the Bent Elbow and us kids would walk around the town for hours looking in the shops. Some years we would take the backroads to the ghost towns and mines, then drive back to Durango.
