Removing the Motor
Terry bought a ‘salvage combine’ from one of our neighbors for little of nothing. Seems the combine has a blown motor. Another neighbor brought over his forklift to remove the motor from the combine.
Boy! Was it ever blown!
So now when you hear the term “a blown motor” you know what one looks like! J
Last Cutting of Hay for This Season
Years ago we would never even THINK of a fourth cutting of hay, but our average frost date has moved to October 14th.
This hay is new, just planted this year; this is the second cutting from it, not bad for baby hay! Prices are staying high for good quality hay, so we can say we are lucky with crop values this year! Yeah!
Miniature Golf
At least once before the end of summer we go play a round of miniature golf. Bladen has finally caught onto the importance of NOT taking a lot swings at the ball, but Linkin still loves to bat that ball around many times.
The most important part (in the kid’s minds) are what color of ball do You want?
A great time was had by all!
What’s Up Grammy?
Tallin was curious about what I was doing. She has become really ‘interested’ in things on peoples faces like: glasses, earrings, and the camera.
Surprise Family Visit
We had a surprise visit from Carolyn and Wayne, (Terry’s sister and brother-in-law), which resulted in a quick family supper.
Eating outside is a nice treat AND I even put a tablecloth on the picnic table. How about that!
Fall is in the Air
Frost is on its way
The corn is ripe; there are dents in each kernel
And the irrigation water has been turned off until spring.

Teamwork Makes the Job a Little Easier
Shannon’s radiator sprung a leak, so Terry helped Buddy change it out. This made a nice little trip for us, we got to see the kids, and do a little shopping in Grand Junction, Colorado.
