This is one type of dam, a metal triangle set in notched groves in the cement ditch.  The water backs up so we can set the tubes.

 You have to put your palm over the end of the tube, pump the water into the tube, then quickly put the tube into the furrow.

Only a few hundred bales of hay left of the first cutting of hay.  Everyone a satisfied customer!

If you want your corn to ‘make’ it needs to be knee-high by the 4th of July.  It looks like ours is going to make it!

This tree was planted by Terry’s Dad 80 years ago.  Today is has a place on the State of Colorado’s “Largest Tree List.  It is a Rio Grande Cottonwood.

You can see how big the tree is in relation to the man standing in front of it.

Although, the last corn cultivation has taken place, the beans need their share of cultivating.

As the bean breaks free of the seed it brings a little ‘cap’ to the surface.
