The Beans are Pulled

The beans are pulled and rowed, they will stay this way until all the leaves and weeds dry up.  The stems of the beans have to dry to a certain point before the combine can come in.

  1. Very interesting photos and commentary! I had no idea that’s how beans are harvested. I guess I thought they were combined standing like wheat. Around here the barley is winrowed and laid out to dry before combining. The corn looks great! We have been enjoying the Olathe sweet corn for several weeks now.
