The Calves will be Leaving for Other Pastures Soon

I think these calves are the most unusual we have ever raised; their Dad was a white bull and their Moms are Angus.

The boy has a distinctly ‘male’ look, complete with the horns we didn’t know were growing until he was tooooooo big.

And of course, I just think the girls are down-right beautiful!  Look at those wonderful eyes!

  1. The eyes are lovely! I always think cow eyes are so deep.
So did it freeze? Hard to believe, but, the snow level was dropping around here this week and I left the house in a down jacket at 7 a.m. this morning! 🙂

  2. Did it freeze? Were you able to rescue all your plants?

Hubs was in WY at the land and cant believe my deck flowers are still in bloom.

The male is a unique color. The white heifers are so cuddly looking!

Sometimes I don’t have enough time to do everything I want to do on this blogging adventure.
We have been thinking about getting a couple of cows, but you talk about green horns, yeah that’s us alright! We know NOTHING about cows ! Ha !

  5. Love your cows!

Of course we’d love a link over at Little House–you live in such beautiful country–I’d love to look out on mountains like yours (foothills? see I don’t even know) but I will have to settle for looking at your photos!

  6. Dear Linda, Love the pic’s of the calves. I don’t know much about cows so this is fun, to see through different eyes.
Yes, I would be honored to be on your blogrole. Is it o.k. for me to link to yours?
