As a child I was always fascinated by this huge plateau called Wild Horse Mesa. Even today I love driving by it. There are NO wild horses! Besides it doesn’t look like it could support life.

Oh what great pics . My hubby has never been no futher west than Memphis Tn. He would dearly love to see your part of the country. I haven’t been farther than Texas, and Oklahoma . I lived in California when I was a baby , but of course I don’t remember that. LOL .

Isn’t the prairie wonderful! Love the views of your drive…alas to end in the traffic! Such is life.
Linda, I appreciate so much you saying I should be writing my “stories.” I guess I could glean a lot of material from my own life. My husband of course is writing his memoirs of his Viet Nam years. I do write, and am working on a book about Depression-era women, and mostly one of my grandmothers. I used to freelance, but there was so much research and expense involved, for so little return money-wise, I quit. I suppose if I had kept it up, eventually I would have started making some money, though. But, anyway, I really appreciate your vote of confidence, and that you think my life in interesting enough to write about! Thanks!

It’s so beautiful but the city is sure full of traffic. We have to drive a couple of hours to see that much traffic. I don’t miss it because I love living on a farm in the country. Thanks for sharing the fantastic photos.
