I’M. Sick. Of. This. Cold. Heck! I’m sick of winter!

ice-on-tree

Okay, I’m ready for spring!  It can come ANY TIME NOW!

Oh!  I guess it won’t happen for ten or twelve more weeks but still…..

The days are warming up to a real 28 degrees and falling down to 7 or below.  The ice hangs heavy on the trees until around noon or so then we have a little ice storm.

  1. I am soo with ya but know we have most of the bad winter months to go thru yet! Today it is 30* but yesterday on the way to church it was -4* and everything is covered in a layer of ice.

It was jus 60* in Denver the other day. Did you get to enjoy that warmth too? We were going to go to WY with the quads during the break but they had no snow. 😦 We have had alot of fun here tho as we still have lots of snow left even after some nice melting days.

Daryl headed to North Dakota and on to Montana today and Kenworth started to freeze up on some lines. So he dumped in more gunk and it worked so he kept going. He said this frigid weather is making his Kenworth an alcoholic!!! He is constantly dumping something in to keep it running.

    Stay warm!

  2. Okay, I have nothing to say here except I hope it warms up for you. Not fair I know but at least it is not 120 degrees in the summer like here. Of course, that is only for a couple of months unlike 5 months of winter for you. I think I should shut up now….

  3. I could send you some warm mud from Tennessee… heck, you could probably make a pot or something out of it – it’s all clay! 🙂 Hey, all kidding aside, I’ve started getting seed catalogs – hooray! Spring can’t be far behind!

  4. HI there, O.k. so I must be the only one not sick of the frost and cold snow-probably cause I don’t have to go out and work the land. Praying for you and yours. We haven’t had as much snow as you-an inch last weekend but being a newbie in Colorado I still love it! Of course I can stay inside too…just wait another 8 weeks and I’ll probably be screaming. Or if we buy a house and have to move in the cold I’ll be unhappy. My friend who lives in Washington state is getting hammered by snow as well. At least it isn’t damp cold like Ca.
Blessings and warmth to you today.

  6. Beautiful photo but I hate ice. I’d rather have a foot of snow than an ice storm. I sure do hope it warms up for you soon. Spring will come, honest it will 🙂

  7. It is good to hear from you again. It is funny to read thru the comments and hear about such a range of temps. Only in blog land (o: Did you have a nice break? HOW ARE THOSE CUTE GRANDKIDS OF YOURS. oops sorry. hit the caps button (o: Mine are all well and growing so fast. I had the two youngest here today and that was fun. The 19 mo. old is starting to talk more. I was getting worried in a grammy kind of way. Now that she has started I am sure I will miss the jabbering. So cute when they jabber a long phrase to you, then turn their head and wait for you to answer. I think it is mostly safe to say Yessss.

  10. I hear ya. I’m just waiting for it to warm up about 10 degrees so we can actually go and PLAY in this snow. It’s been so frigid that it would be suicidal to try snowmobiling or tobogganing. But I am happy if I don’t have to go out and just curl up with good books, warm drinks, and snuggly kids.

  11. That’s just way too cold. I seriously would just freeze like a popsicle. I’m cold now, wearing two pairs of pants, two shirts, inside the house and it’s 78 in here. Still got goosebumps. Once I get cold, I stay that way until a hot bath.
I just couldn’t live in the snow again.
    Chin up. It’s almost over.

  12. We uselly have not so cold, wet winters arround here. So today, with the sun shining brightly on the snow and only 10°F/-12°C, I am happy. It’s alot better than the dark days of december anyway. I don’t mind a few weeks of winter (except for the driving on icy roads) but still, spring is itching and seed catalogues are winking.

  13. Good Grief I hear ya! I freaked last night when I got home because I had let the roosters out that morning and when I came home I had one rooster on the deck just crowing his head off and the others were by the coop, I thought the dumb bird had some how frozen himself to the deck and I was wondering how I was going to get him off, but he wasnt just being stupid! My poor heart! Thats all I need a dead bird stuck in front of the living room window!
