Blade is such a hardy little fellow. And so completely up for any challenge. He finished the soccer season
And is now trying to learn how to set tubes, he can do the gated pipe as long as we are there if something doesn’t work just right.
His little 7 year-old hand is just not quite large enough to cover the end, but after many tries he got the aluminum tube,
And then the really, really hard ‘white’ tube.

Never to young to learn those things when you grow up on a farm :o) He will be a great helper. Bet he loved soccer.

What a great kid! It is such a wonderful thing to to for a child, to let them really help and teach them the value of good, hard work. Farm kids are the greatest!

I love the field picture. You should return to that spot throughout the growing season – actually, you could do it every day (in your spare time) and then do one of those youtube videos where it would look like the plants were growing – like a flip book.

It looks like the water channel is lower than the furrows, so how do you get the water started? Surely not by sucking the air though? That would taste awful.
