My How Time Flies

Remember those cute little baby ducks from last July?

 Ducks

Here they are today!

And those scrawny little goats rescued from the Sale Barn

 Me-No-Me

I can’t ever get a good photo of them, because they are so afraid one or the other might get a cookie and the other one won’t.

I carry Vanilla Wafers with me at all times, it’s always nice to have a cookie with a friend.

  1. How your ducks have grown 🙂 What breed are the black ones? I have really changed my negative opinion about ducks since we brought home the Indian runners. I really enjoy watching them – they are such comics!

Your goats sound like mine – always looking for a cookie – usually here it’s an animal cracker 🙂

  2. I love the ducks! After our recent duck-sitting adventure, I really want a duck. And the cookies…thats so funny. Reminds me of my friends horse who loved breath mints. I always brought some so when he heard my car coming he would trot across the pasture to meet me! 🙂

  3. I miss my ducks. Yours are beautiful, such a range of colors. The black ones are striking.

sigh… I have a love/hate relationship with sale barns. Your goats look very happy. 🙂

  4. I know what you mean, I give the horses winnie cookies when I go to the pasture to just hang out with them and they have to fight each other to get to me first and then of course I have to get them out of my personal space to get a picture and they still get to close! Take care and the ducks look pretty nice! The goats can’t tell they were rescued! They look like they have always been with you!

  5. I love the lil duckies and the goats!! We have the lil monsters in 4H and I am really hoping to talk them into goats for projects next year!! I have always wanted goats and now we definitely have room for them!! Any goat advise for me? I have only ever owned dogs and horses.

  6. The goats and ducks are so cute. I think someone above has already asked but what breed are the black ducks. I have never seen those before.

Cookies? The goats look like they would crawl right over each other for a cookie.

    Have a great weekend,

  7. Hi Linda

Yes, what breed are those ducks? They are certainly not muscovy or Kkarki Campbells – Are they Indian Runners? Anyhow they are all the same breed, but I have never seen black domestic ducks before!
I can’t agree with Michele regarding eating duck eggs – a long time ago when I was a kid, the hens decided to go on strike so there were no breakfast eggs, however, the ducks were laying so Mother in her wisdom decided that the family would be served bacon and duck eggs for breakfast. The 6 breakfasts all ended up in the rubbish bin! End of duck eggs for breakfast.

  8. Those are some pretty ducks, they sure have grown! I know what you mean about the goats, I can only seem to get pictures of my goats noses as they crowd around thinking there might be a treat to be had.
