Any day now…we are expecting a killing frost. (The nights are dropping into the 40s Our average frost date is October 21st.)

The signs are there, or am I just mis-reading them? Time will tell.

It’s as hot as blazes here and the only saving grace is that it darn near freezes at night. Winter is a comin’ 😉

This is the time of year I enjoy. Cooler days and chilly nights and some years the ability to back in time with an indian summer. Trees showing color like a peacock begging to be noticed and it all ends with the snow that eventually falls and covers and colors our mountains and meadows the color of clean.
What are all of those things sticking out of the canals? The white things.

Your plant is moldy.

Yes, it is. I love Autumn, but this year I feel that I got nothing done. So I am sad to see it come so quickly, even though I am exhausted.

Even though we did not experience much in the way of summer weather, I too am glad fall is just around the corner. Winslow and I took a walk through the woods this afternoon where signs of fall were evident.

Yep. Fall is almost here. I started getting out my Fall stuff. The cool weather is welcome, but I can do without the pipes freezing.
