  1. Hi Linda

Great shot of the heifer, I am presuming it is a heifer? She certainly looks in fine “nick”. I have recently been reading that in Tasmania, the Australian Island State, they are breeding the world’s finest meat producing Aberdeen Angus. Restaurants here in Australia charge prices for this meat that may even make Bill Gates blink! The cattle also thrive on the sea kelp, certainly a source of food that would not be found in Colorado!
If I can find the link on these cattle, I’ll send it to your and your hubby so you can drool like the rest of us here who have seen it.

The back of the photo seems to show a double like fence. Is that a “cattle race” for loading cattle onto trucks?

I am looking forward to more of your cattle photos.
Today down here is Melbourne Cup day, so I am glued to the TV for all the races from Flemington, Melbourne.

    Cheers
    Colin

  2. It doesnt get to nibble in the corn stubble for its own corn?

I seen a mountain lion swagger across the road in Iowa not too far from Maria n James’ place. We do have them around here I have just never seen one other than on the news. Kinda freaky really. Those are zoo animals to us flatlanders!!!
Maria was freaked out as she gets to feed the calves in the mornings and evenings.

  4. Hi Linda

    The Melbourne Cup:

Well the “race” that stops a Nation is over. Australia is now back to normal, well, I hope so! I won’t go into the intrigues of my selections but out of my four selections, one of them did win. The name of the horse was “Shocking” ,it was in my first 4 bet! Unfortunately , if you want to get a great dividend, the other 3 have to run in the first 4! So the private Lear jet has been cancelled and I did want to see the Aberdeen Angus before it got too cold in Colorada.
    Maybe better luck next year????
Or you and hubby could visit Australia – you won’t freeze down here, that I can assure you!

    Cheers
    Colin
ps: And I wore my yellow attire all day! So much for yellow.
