Sometimes a Gift is Worth More Than a Thousand Words

I had a very hectic morning at work today… and after a restless night having a morning full of rush, rush, solve this, take care of that, do this, fix that — I finally sat down to my desk  to answer emails and take phone messages.

The door to my office opened.

Stealing myself for whatever was coming I was surprised to see this

Flowers-001

The kids had made it back to New York State and just wanted to tell Terry and me Thank you!

I took them home at lunch for Terry to enjoy also.

(And you can see the snow is now all gone YEAH! and the temperature in the low 50*s.)

I have never seen a rose that shade of purple, makes me want to grow one.

What a lovely day this is …after all!

  1. What a wonderful surprise. Yes that purple is really unique. That was so sweet of them to send that. How is the couple doing? I guess I should go back and look at her blog again. Our snow is gone too. Now maybe we can get the leaves off of the grass and into the trash…instead of tracked into the house everyday.

  2. Absolutely beautiful!!! So glad it brightened your day and that your children made it back to NY with no problems 🙂

We are having the same weather right now – I’m enjoying every single minute of it 🙂

  3. Isn´t it great how flowers can cheer you up so quickly. The same thing happened to me last week. I was at my busiest and when I came to work one morning, there was a bouquet of flowers waiting for me. A friend sent them. The perfect way to start the day!

  4. Dear Linda~ What a lovely gift from “Your Kids”……I can almost see your smile and maybe even a little tear since Evan is a long ways away to visit! But to know they are settled and so very happy and in love………that is the true “GIFT”!
