Just like the weatherman predicted a major winter storm hit our area this weekend.
Bringing with it lovely large wet white snowflakes and bitter cold.
We did 5:30 a.m. chores in 16* temperatures.
I’ve given up on Thanksgiving (even some of the trees still have their leaves)
and have decided I’m going to enjoy this winter wonderland.
It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas…tra la la la today.

Oh Linda, I know that’s wicked cold but it’s so beautiful!!! I know it’s miserable to drive in as well. This is just the beginning I’m sure.
We had 3 inches of rain this past weekend. Was glad it wasn’t snow as we are still building and not ready 🙂 It will be snow before we know it.
Take good care ~

Awwww…..I wish wish WISH we could get that here. Darn old Arizona. Well…If I drove 75 miles I could probably find this. So pretty! When it does snow here which is very rare, the snow on the saguaro cactus is stunning!

All those fluffy little flakes are so pretty and it is sure nice to know there is water being stored in the mountains. If we could only fingure out a way to keep it off the roads.

Lovely pictures. Makes me wonder if we will ever get Winter this year. It’s 50° over here, warm, wet and windy. I know snow and ice can be terrible but they give us so much beauty ! That’s a wonderful tree you have there, it must be very old, what kind is it ?

Wow everyone, it is Thanksgiving Day! I’m happy with my extra day off, and I am planning to make something fun that will probably involve a moto trip and seeing something new in Yorkville I haven’t seen yet.
You write something new at Thanksgiving?

I heard we got our first snow in Vermont and although your pictures are lovely, I’m not minding missing that numbing cold one bit. It’s 70 here and just feels so good on these old bones to be warm.
