I’m waiting for the snow to leave the point on Grand Mesa, once that happens it is the signal we can begin to plant warm weather crops (tomatoes and such).
Before this last storm blew itself in, this is what the point looked like.
Today this is what we see.
There was ice on the running irrigation water this morning. We had to fire up the woodstove again yesterday.
Winter, winter, go away, come again some other day.
I hope all of you are enjoying really nice weather where ever you are.
Have a nice weekend!
Linda

I’m thinking this winter has gone on MUCH too long. At least the storm that hit here yesterday was rain instead of snow. We have a lot more green today. Hope it warms up for you soon.

That is incredible: the weather photos. Certainly makes life with cropping very difficult. Here for the past 6 weeks, all of March and now April, you can wake up to clean blue skies, 1/2 later it is cloudy, 1/2 hour later it is raining, 1/2 hour later it is sunny again – and so it continues for the rest of the day! The GREAT WEATHER DAILY CYCLE!
The lawn mower contractors are doing a ‘roaring trade’! I just wish that silencers were available for the lawn mowers!!!
You leave home at your peril without an umbrella!
Aaaaaaah well, what can we do? ZILCH – just grin and bear it!

Rain only over here in Denver, but snow in the foothills. It’s a rare treat to drift off to sleep listening to the sound of rain.

Beautiful pictures. It did seem like this past winter would last forever! Even now, it is almost May and I had the heater running last night. Hope you get some really nice weather soon so you can plant your garden.

I’ll bet you go through this almost every year–and I know it’s hard, trying to predict the weather…. We never ever ever have a freeze this late in April here–but we may get one tonight… Crazy weather!!!
Hope the worst is over for you.
