Spring Arrived on Monday

We woke up to another morning of snow, bitter cold and feeling really thankful for wood burning stoves.

The day warmed up rapidly, causing melted snow to hang in droplet on the clothes lines

Then a breeze blew in and blew away all the clouds.

By the time Terry and I got the branch cut up and hauled off the yard it was warm enough to not even wear a coat.

We even got the last of the gated pipe hauled out to the field and connected.

The water did what it was supposed to do—and we didn’t even have to walk it down

It was a delightful spring day!  Finally!

Linda

  1. Talk about crazy weather! I’m glad it got better as the day progressed instead of sending producing another wind storm. Your yard definitely looks very spring like with that deep green grass. I’m so envious of your clothes line. I create a make shift one in my dinky little yard, but I want a really one that won’t sag when clothes are pinned to it.

  2. It’s storming mad here today and my power has been off and on a dozen times already. I use it quick when it is……..Glad to see things better down your way.

  3. So glad the warm weather has come your way – it’s been unseasonally warm here and muggy….not my favorite weather but it will pass, it always does 🙂

    Happy planting ~

  4. Yea!!! I’m so glad you got to enjoy a lovely Spring day. I knew Spring must be hiding out somewhere. Spring keeps trying to show up here, but then winter jumps back in and chases her away. I love the photo of the irrigated fields. I used to love to play in the muddy water.

  5. I’m glad it has come at last. Great shots but it still looks cold. We are in Sydney and it is getting cold for us…11C at night.

  6. I am so glad I am not the only one who leaves the clothes pins on the line. I kinda feel guilty sometimes that I don’t “put them away.” Glad your warming up and feeling springy!

  7. Great, Linda… I’m SO happy that you finally have some Spring weather. Hope it stays with you for a LONG time…

We’ve had a wonderful day today at the beach… Beautiful weather after the rain yesterday (clear, sunny, breezy, warm—PERFECT)…

    Hugs,
