Oh I know… we LOVE the spider webs too! But not as fond of the spider. We did see a neat one today while out running erronds – a BRIGHT green one. So pretty. Love your sunrise (or sunset) picture.
Cookie monster was just saying the same thing the other day when gazing upon a spider web built in our living room window. It can’t be that time already, can it?
The kids have been noticing the webs up here too. Ella was remarking on how pretty one was. Like you, I was glad to not see the resident who constructed it. I just pretend spiders don’t exist, that way I don’t freak out when doing field work in thick riparian areas and thick grass. They give me the shivers.
Spiders really are creative… Their webs are works of art… I just hate to run into one when we are hiking in the woods… Makes me chill just thinking of running into a spider web!!!! ha
So was this work of art attached to your car? Those spiders can throw together an amazing bit of engineering in such a short time but they’re not aways wise in the location. This truly is the time of spiders and webs. For all their wonderous works they do have a creepy quality. Nice photos.
Good grief–I don’t like the size of that spider! The web is pretty and it’s amazing how fast they can make them. It’s also amazing at how “sticky” those webs are, I walked into one at my front door and just about got caught in it myself!! HAATTE getting that stuff out of my hair!
Yikes! That is a big spider. Webs can be pretty when they have dew on them.

Spiders are our friends. They eat harmful insects. I’m not sure why I always feel the need to defend them. 🙂

The wind keeps tearing ours apart and the spiders are hiding out in their winter underwear 😉

What I hate is walking through a web in the dark and knowing that you could have that spider ON you! lol

But I do love looking at the webs.
