They said  snow and rain and wind were heading our way.  The last of corn finally dipped down to 14.7% so Terry is combining right now in hopes of getting done before the weather hits.  It’s suppose to come in this evening….that huge storm rocking California right now!

I am so NOT a fan of winter.

At the Paonia EnergyTech(TM) campus yesterday the homeschooling/Creative Compass a  children asked if they could decorate the little tree out back with treats for the birds and squirrels.  They were having so much fun I couldn’t resist a photo to share with all of you!

Christmas is coming….it won’t be long now.  And we are going to have the corn combined before Christmas.  Now that is a gift!

  1. Hi Linda, I never home-schooled (or wanted to)— but I admire families who do. I have a friend who is probably the best teacher to her own children I have ever seen. She has 3 little girls –and she teaches them constantly… All three are very smart.

That was neat seeing them decorate that little tree for the birds… How special..

Hope Terry gets the corn harvested before the storm comes. I’m praying hard for him/you all…

    Merry Christmas.
    Hugs,

  2. Linda, we have had the storm here in No NV since early this morning (before I got up at 5:30) and it has not let up… and today we heard that No NV DOT has decided to save money by NOT clearning the snow!! Great news about the corn – hope all goes well and Terry gets it all in before this snow makes it’s way to you.

  3. I’m praying harvest is done before the storm, too! I awoke to snow on the roof of my house this morning! Just a skift. It’s been a bitter cold day, so stayed inside and baked muffins and cookies. Didn’t even have to go out to do chores as my SIL was in the area and stopped by and did them! I was tickled and rewarded him with milk and cookies. Our cold is to be leaving tomorrow-I guess your storm will stay north of me, which is fine! Loved seeing the HS kids decorating for the birds–know the little birdies will love it!
    Blessings!

  4. WooHOOOOOOO! The last of the corn coming in!

I’m not a huge lover of the winter season either. Though I noticed that I am not as underwhelmed by it as I usually am, having been more prepared for the coming spring. I guess I must sit in here and stew about all the things that need to be done out there and the weather is keeping me from doing it. :oP

  5. Talked to my friend from Paonia this morning and he said they have and inch already and it’s still snowing. I hope you got your corn in.
