Nothing New Here

We are still having really bad weather.  Snow and wind.  Always the wind, Always!  I think Wyoming has slid down the map and landed in our area we have had so much wind this year.

Can you believe this?!  Terry went to another farm sale this morning.  Had to be there by 8:00.  They were done by noon.  The crowd was small, but very determined.  Prices brought more than normal.   I sort of thought no one would show up….it’s very cold outside 20* with a wind chill of Zero.

Here is an idea of what the crazy wind is doing ……

Not a lot of snow with it but what is there is swirling everywhere.

It’s suppose to drop to 1* tonight with a wind chill of -13*.

This stuff is suppose to be in here until at least the weekend.

Sigh!

Linda

  1. I thought about you when I heard about the big storm in Colorado. It’s supposed to be heading our way, but hopefully the wind will blow itself out before it gets here. The cold is bad enough without having to worry about wind chill. I’m still trying to keep thinking thoughts of Spring.

  2. Cold here too. ( SW Iowa ) It managed to get up to 2 below just now after minus 15 last night. Wind chill factor is 30 below. Brr. It’ll make things jingle tonight I’m sure.
Thanks for the pics. The swirling snow looks familiar.

  3. It looks like you’ve got OUR weather. We usually see plenty of that wind pushing the worn out snow from place to place. The weather forcasters are showing a jet stream across the U.S. that drops way down over Colorado and then shoots up across the Northeast. But the good news for you is that the whole thing is predicted to move back up into Canada where it belongs in the near future. I just hope it goes all the way up and doesn’t stop over us along the way.

  4. Gosh –that wind looks terrible, Linda. They say the storm which hit Colorado is coming our way. Hopefully, it will fizzle out before it gets here. Our forecasters NEVER get the forecast correct.. We just have to be prepared for whatever happens…

Be careful out there –and try to stay WARM.
    Hugs,

  5. Oh, brrrrrrr!! The wind blew in to West Texas about noon…gusts 40-50mph, birds flying backwards! It is bitter cold, now down to 3* and blowin’ a gale. Hope the wind stops up there and here, too, soon. Snow is to come in around midnight. I’m beginning to think I really dislike winter! But I’m blessed I don’t have to be out in it too much.
    Take care, keep warm! Blessings!

  6. This winter seems to be harder then most a for everyone, even here in Florida it has been unusually cold. We are having in the low 40’s tonight and it should be much warmer for this time of the year.
My son in law lost over 1000 citrus trees in the freeze after Christmas. He also lost thousands of dollars in landscaping plants. The tropical fish farmers are going under since the freeze killed most of there ponds of fish. I am ready for spring. I know it is much colder there but we are not prepared for cold weather.

  7. Oh dear! I think your new mantra should be, ‘it’s almost spring, it’s almost spring’. Then maybe you’ll go into a trance-like state and not wake up until it is spring.

  8. Sales haven’t started here yet, but I am getting hits from searches for ones that I have written about in previous years. We have about the same weather and I would be lying if I said I liked it. Hang in there!

  9. The wind must be everywhere! We woke up to find someone’s trash can in our front yard. Maybe spring will blow in behind it. Wishful thinking, I know 🙂
