Driving was a huge pain yesterday. All the way to and from Paonia the wind was playing havoc with the visibility.
I always try to console myself that the wind really does have a purpose…if we didn’t get the wind the sap in the trees and bushes wouldn’t be able to rise from the roots warming up the trunks and the branches.
But sometimes….I get to thinking how tiring late winter really can be.
Then I realize that late winter, really means early spring! Early spring…that is a good thing.
When I got home I saw this
A green little plant of wild mustard.
Linda

We’re in the snow again here and it’s blowing off and on…. a little green goes a long way! Stay warm 😉

That looks like one really, really ugly day. Something like that even makes you appreciate the sight of any kind of green trying to survive in this rotten early spring weather.

I know the feeling well, of seeing something green and being really happy about it. I´m dreading our long winter. But will have to feast my eyes on your blogs from up north.

Any greenery is good! The wind seems to always blow especially when the sun decides to come out! Keep your feet planted 😉

I saw the green, but I would never have known it was wild mustard.
So much to learn! 🙂
And yes, stay warm! ♥

Hopefully you will soon be seeing much more green. It’s really beginning to look like Spring here on the Cumberland Plateau, even though we had a frost scare last night.

May that little mustard plant be the happy harbinger of soft breeze, soft soil and abundant green :0)

We take our comfort where – and when – we find it in the early spring…
Snow’s gone, sun is out…. and it’s 19*…
Sigh…

Now Linda, I do hope the temperatures over in the States is getting warmer soon. We’re coming over there in June and I expect nice sunny warm weather while we’re traveling around. Can you please all organise that for us?

Our garden is bursting into life – but sadly with gaps where the hard winter killed some precious plants!

We’ve had a solid week of cold, hard rain and lots of new snow in the sierras. The dogwood and the lilacs WANT to bloom, but don’t think they should. The mustard, however, is already up and blooming. Weeds always manage.

We had more snow again……..I think I’d rather have that than a dust storm……maybe 😦

No green outside here, yet, but there is a dandelion blooming in my greenhouse! It must not know it was only 2 degrees this morning!
