The challenge is to look outside the box and find something other folks may not have thought of.
In looking around the farm all I seemed to see
Was rust and more rust!
We still use the corn grinder, but we don’t milk anymore. This old cans was here from when Terry’s Grandparents had the only dairy in the area.
The can got a hole in it and was left outside. I could never part with it as I thought it was really a cool item.
For more Sunday Stills head over here.

I took a pic of a milk can too, but set it aside as I had so many others. Lots of rust around here. lol Nice pics!

Growing up on a dairy I still remember my parents milking into the cans. Lugging them into the milk room and pouring them into a big strainer(and the icky filters). Mom did the milking while dad did chores. My job as a little one was to keep an eye on where dad was so I could let him know when it was time to empty the cans again. I would of been 3-4 years old at the time.
Then we put in a pipeline.
I have had a cream can for 23 years in our house as decor.

Rust and farms seem to go hand in hand. Love the old milk churn. You could grow something in it.

Our cream separator has been a decorative item in the house for the last forty years (holding houseplants!). So it is still in pretty good condition.

Rust never sleeps…..it just keeps on coming thats for sure. I have an old milk can that I varnish and make a flat top for……we used it as an end table for years. I called it my “early marriage, no money” table 😉

I like the milk can too. We have one that I won’t get rid of either.

Fun rust shots. People say rust and wrinkles give character. But I think rust looks better on an old milk can than wrinkles look on me.

That milk jug is awesome! I’d would set it by the front door with dried flowers in it but then I’m a little weird like that.

Are the first two pics of the corn grinder? Love the milk can. I watch a show called American Pickers, and they’d probably give you $50 for that can. 🙂
I guess with all the precipitation y’all get, rust is inevitable.

Great pictures! I have a milk can, too. Lots of rust here in W. Texas as we get sandblasted so much. I have an old wood and rust manure spreader that I just love in my outside decor! We can find beauty in lots of stuff, can’t we?!
Blessings!

We call them cream cans here and they seem to be more and more valuable the more rust they’re adorned with! Many properties use them as mail boxes.

Great looking rust at your place. Fix up that can..and put a seat on it and use it for a stool..or a top to use it for a table. I have one upstairs it is full of dog hair to spin someday:)

yes, we all can find rusty items on our places. I like the look of old farm items too. I put an old horse feeder by a tree, and forgot about it. My customers thought it was a decoration. LOL My hubby made me throw it away this year with steel garbage that he was taking in.
