The Beauty of “Old Glory”

The girls and I decorated graves yesterday and stayed for the VFW Memorial service.  Always a moving time.  I can never see or hear Taps and not think of those who gave thier lives to keep us free…

  1. Me too. I went out to our cemetery early because I thought they’d be doing that but apparently I was too early. Which is unthinkable living here because doing anything after 7:00 a.m. in this state is too hot. Neat photo.

  3. Great photo! I’ve always thought Taps was such an incredibly moving musical piece. Whoever wrote it captured grief, pride, memories, duty to country, and so much else so precisely!

  4. I see that those windy days you seem to have frequently are good for something – they really show flags at their finest.
