More About South Dakota

Wayne’s pick was to visit a cave, of which there are many in South Dakota, but the one he really wanted to see was Jewel Cave.

I tried to take photos, but a camera just can’t capture the beauty of a cave

It was cold, but ever so worth it!

Once again if you ever get a chance try to make it to this cave…you won’t regret it!

  1. Spectular adventure, my husband and I did a cave tour in Penn. near Lancaster and it was just amazing. We also toured a coal mine, there I learned the true meaning of “DARKNESS.” Have a great week, Julie.

  2. Your pictures are great. We visited a cave near Mountain Home, AR when the kids were young. It was awesome. I’d love to see this cave…. maybe someday!!! Thanks for posing this

  4. The pictures really show the colors. I’ve been to South Dakota but had not heard of the Jewel Cave. Would love to travel up that way again sometime.

    Blessings!

  5. The family thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Jewel Cave. I did too….above ground! I had every intention of going on the tour too….til the elevator door opened and my legs walked backwards instead of forward. I must of been as pale as a ghost as no one argued with me and just sent me right back up!! 😦
